Mini Assignment – Hidden Places Assignment

Hidden Places Assignment

For this assignment you must negotiate access to somewhere that is not usually seen.  This could be the backstage area of a theatre, a restaurant kitchen or anywhere else that is hidden from view.

Take a set of pictures that describes what happens in this place and also expresses your point of view as a spectator in a private or forbidden world.

I chose to take my images at the Toby Carvery, The Picturehouse, in Leeds city centre. I felt this was appropriate and fit the task of the assignment, as I managed to negotiate access to somewhere that is off-limits to members of the public. I made my way behind the bar, and into the kitchen, both places that are not seen by members of the public. It was interesting seeing what the chefs got up to in the kitchen.
