Abir Abdullah Photography of Dhaka Fire

Abir Abdullah is a photojournalist and photographer based in Bangladesh. He is known for his black and white street and documentary photography. Images that really interested me and caught my attention was his work of the aftermath of the fires in Bangladesh’s captail, Dhaka.

He captured traumatic and upsetting images of the people of Dhaka, escaping the flames of the city as it burned down homes, workplaces and huge buildings, ruining the lives of thousands. The fire has been referred to as a ‘Death Trap’.
